Hey guys, this is yet another "what laptop should I buy" question. But I really don't have a clue.

Budget: I am willing to pay around the £300/£350 mark. (I am living in the UK)

Intended use: Internet, watching movies, downloading music, I'm a maths student so I use a bit of maths software, general word processing. Not for gaming at all so no need for fancy graphics etc.

Mobility: Not particularly important. It will mainly be staying in my house, probably come away with me a few times a year etc but it doesn't need to be super lightweight and I would rather a big enough screen for watching films.

Warranty: Is a warranty important? To be honest I have no idea. I don't know anybody who fixes computers so presumably will have to pay any time something goes wrong (my current laptop I have had for 4 years and I've probably had to get it repaired at least twice a year)

What Operating System do you use? Windows please.

    Also a few more questions...
    - what security do I need? Norton?
    - do all laptops have cd burners installed automatically?
