    Hey guys...

    Bought an M-Audio Xponent.. Now I need a set of speakers.. I am only using it for home practice so just need a fairly basic set..

    Would anybody be able to reccomend a set of speakers that I could use to practice?? Apologies for being a noob.

    believe it or not a decent set of computer speakers do the trick for a bedroom setup.

    I have these ^ and find them excellent. Plenty of oomph for home mixing and even powerful enough to rock a party (the missus borrowed them and plugged the ipod into them for a work party in an underground car park!). Choice of RCA inputs or 1/8" for flexibility too.

    I have a set of these

    Great set of speakers, although they're more a Monitor than a a Speaker and they're Active Monitors so you don't need an Amp to power them. The bass is slightly lacking, but not noticeably so for home use.

    Think they may be discontinued now, but there's the newer model, available here at slightly over your budget, but they're almost twice the power rating of the ones I have.
