    Hi guys

Let me give you a bit of background on myself. I'm 23,I left school after my Junior Cert. Then I did my leaving cert applied before going to college to study professional cookery. I realized I like cooking just not enough to do it 12 hours a day. Now I'm thinking of psychology but i'm not sure what route is the best for someone like me. I'm thinking of doing an introductory course in psychology, but will that help me get into a degree course or is it just feeding my interests. Can I get the same level of education doing smaller part-time courses. Is there anything i can do in the mean time to increase my chances in being successful in getting into a good class. Or are there other subjects i should know also like a second language. I much appreciate any advice anyone can give me on how best to proceed.

    Thanking you very much

Open University sounds like a good option for you if you don't mind studying from home:

Maybe just do Discovering psychology (DSE141) to see if you like the idea.

I haven't done any psychology course myself, I'm just looking into distance learning at the moment. I have a business studies degree so I could take a shorter route.

I think a introduction course may be an idea, give you a sense of what you will be getting into.
