brake pedal hissing

    Just lookin for some help , i drive a 07 astra and there's been a hissing coming from the brake pedal. The hissing gets louder when the pedal is pressed and it also hisses when the car is in idle , any help would be great.

    I'd say your brake servo needs replacing

    I'm no mechanic, but what if it is brake fluid escaping under pressure? Speak to a pro I think.

    the pedal is soft enough when slowing down, it only gets hard if the abs kicks in

    Brake servo I'd say, had to get it done on my golf about a month ago! Cost €90 to buy servo and master cylinder from a scrap yard and €200 to get it fitted. Had the same symptoms, brake pedal sounded like a foot pump when pushed!
