i smoke weed most days i have no problem saying it.to the best of my knowledge it is not illegal to take drugs in ireland it is just illegal if your caught in
possesion(in sweeden for example if you do a urine test and police find traces of drugs in your system they can charge you)a bit draconian i think!!

Yeah everything I've been told backs this up. You can't get done for smoking a joint... just holding one.

Used to smoke everyday but dont smoke it now cause it makes me too paranoid. I think it should be legalised but I dont subscribe to notion that its harmless.

if i was just after smoking a joint i could go up and tell a guard and they could do nothing(possibly could get arrested for being intoxicated in a public place not sure though)this rule could only apply too alcohol not 100% sure. It is not illegal to take drugs though only posses them

My point was that I can smoke it all I want and can't get done for it. I can however, get done for it being mine. Ie. I'm possessing it. Two separate acts. One legal. The other, not so much.

Yes, but they only started shooting each other when coke started getting more popular. IMHO you cant tarnish everyone buying a 10spot with that brush.

Used to smoke it all the time, get too parnanoid if i smoke it these days so wouldn't be arsed anymore, can see the enjoyment for some people. There will always be a minority of people that just shouldnt do it as it causes them more harm than good.

As expected the usual condoning from the dope brigade, "you can't tarnish everyone that buys a 10 spot", "I buy it off a hippy", "prohibition causes drug crime".

No illegal drugs cause drug crime and the dealers who sell the 10 spots it all filters down.

I personally know of 2 people who have been permanently maimed because of small drug debts that they didn't pay to the small time dealer who in turn didn't have the money for the gangs.
