Describe the noise and give details of the car and you might get some help in here. I'm sure someone will give details of a call out mechanic soon

    2. Unable to drive car to garage as may be unsafe and/or breakdown en route
    3. Looking for a call out car mechanic in south county dublin
I have no intention of trying to fix it myself, hence the post looking for a call out car mechanic in south county dublin

    Thanks for your replies

It is more of a rattle ( a loud one) than banging/clunking- the car also seems to be stalling a bit ie not accelerating properly

Re burning smell- not recently and not related to the rattle but about two weeks ago I did get a burning smell at high speed but think it was coming from outside the car as disappeared v quickly and did not happen again

How would I know if it is the clutch?
