Somewhere warm and cheap!

    Hi lads,

I'd love to get away for a few days out of the cold with the boyfriend, but haven't much experience at all with travelling. Can anybody suggest somewhere that would be reasonably warm in January/Feb and not too expensive (student budget)? I wouldn't mind staying in hostels, and it'd be nice to have a few decent pubs if at all possible?

    Thanks in advance

how about malaga in the south of spain, ryanair doing flights from 21st january thru february for €60 return, won't be overly warm there that time of year but it should be high teens, lows 20s maybe, nice beach in town and plenty of good bars

I went to Barcelona couple of years ago. Food and drink was cheap. Fantastic city to explore. Highly recommend it. Try 1800hotels.com for accomodation.

I'd be wary of using 1800hotels.com, think they were facing bankruptcy/liquidation last summer some time. I could be wrong though.

Here's the thread on it: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055966186&highlight=tenerife

Definitely do not use 1800 hotels, I got stung by them last year! Try booking.com or another reputable website.

I went to Seville a few years ago during November, it was lovely & sunny. I think there are cheap flights there on Ryanair at the moment. I'm sure the temperatures are nice there now. Loads of lovely tapas bars!

Try www.skyscanner.ie and just put in Dublin as "form" and leave the "to" empty. put in the date and how many people going then click search and it will show the list of place with the price beside it. It a trust website.
