applied for my test at end of novemeber (didnt bother sending in the letter from my job) as i tought i would get my date quick as my brother applied for his test a week before me and he and he got his date about 2 weeks ago now,so my question is have they stopped giving out dates or is it possible that my test date could have been lost in the post, just think its a bit of a joke that it is taking so long thanks for your help

I'd say with all the bad weather recently there'll proably be a lot of backlogs, depending which centre you applied to. Some centres in Dublin had hardly any tests for nearly a month so all those cancellations will be dealt with before new applications. Don't be surprised if you're not called until mid to late Feb.

If you got a letter or email confirmation your application is in the system. Your brother got a test date fairly quick. As the other poster suggested you are probably caught in bigger backlog now. I am guessing you applied in Tallaght, which did like most other places get a huge amount of snow. By glad that the backlog is no longer over a year. If you are sure you are ready, call the RSA and ask them nicely how long the wait is.

I was guessing you were from Tallaght as your signiture mention Shamrock Rover. Still, Raheny was snow and ice for december as well. Best of luck with the test. Any question, just type.
