    Hi again.
Recently have been receiving saorview, here in Cashel, but lost it just before.christmas.
Yesterday, Having checked the RTE-NL site, I zoomed on the map provided (very handy) and the site informed me that i should be receiving the signal from mitchelstown. The frequencies etc were all marked as ?? ...
    Am I mssing something ?
Have other people from Tipperary been having similar problems ??
    Thanks for your help...

I am picking up Saorview from Maghera for the past couple of months on my Panasonic idtv. Picking up all the tv and radio channels no problems here in North Tipperary.

    Mitchelstown is Ch40 V
    Kilduff is Ch50 H

Just found out recently, that the Mitchelstown relay ( DTT and analogue ) isn't just for the town of Mitchelstown, but in fact is designed to feed signals into parts of North Cork, South Tipperary and South and East Limerick also. I know it feeds Ballyporeen in South Tipp, whether it stretches to Cashel or not, I don't know, but I would have thought Cashel was well beyond it's reach, but who knows.

My Info was that Mitchelstown is mostly for SE Limerick!

WoodCock Hill is in Co. Clare and mostly for Limerick too.

Maybe this the map he is talking about.
I am getting it from Mullaghanish and can also get it from Maghera.
I am at the bottom of Keeper Hill on Limerick side in North Tipperary which might be a bit off topic as its not near Cashel which is is South or Mid Tipp.

    Yip... that's the one,,,,,
So most of you are saying I should have no probs to receiving it again.
Have no idea why it stopped, as the aerial etc is exactly in the same place in the attic as it was before.
    the search goes on....
    thanks

Correct as regards SE Co.Limerick, but it was local TV dealer who told me, it also serves parts of North Co.Cork, other than obviously Mitchelstown itself, and parts of South Co.Tipp also. He would do a lot of aerial installations etc, so I assume he's talking from experience.

That doesn't show coverage AT ALL. It's also nothing to do with RTE NL.

Though http://www.mpeg4ireland.com/ is brilliant site and the Google Maps based "aerial pointing" tool is handy.

I've added the direct link to it on sidebar here http://www.saortv.info/ also updated FAQ http://www.saortv.info/about/faq/
