Im just posting to get a few ideas of possible travel destinations for a 2-3 month summer stint.
Im pulled towards America but Id love some info on anywhere across the world from someone who has some experience!
Id like somewhere thats not far out of the travel spots but somewhere I could possibly be able to secure a part-time job for a few weeks.
Im sure it sounds silly but Id like to go to a known travel spot as it would be my first travel destination that isint a two week stay in spain!!So id prob feel more comfortable with a few Irish around me!
I know it prob sounds lazy but I have done some reasearch and the likes of San Deigo and some other places sound way to popular which would hinder getting a job!
So if anyone could over any insight to a place they may have stayed or had a freind staying i would greatly appriciate it!!!

You really have to go for an English speaking country to get a part time job, unless you manage to get a job at a summer camp for English in South Korea or something.

How about something in rural America? Might be easier to get a job there? Or else somewhere like Boston where there are loads of jobs.

Be warned though that getting a job for a few weeks is tough, you'll spend a few weeks searching beforehand and then the weeks actually working so that's a lot of weeks used up for the job. I would go somewhere cheap and live on whatever you can save up at home.

Thanks for that and you're right, the more I think about it the more I see America as my destination.Iv been to New york before for a few days and loved it so now I want to see more of it but with less tourists I suppose!

I did think about Boston and Chicago and when I mentioned it to a friend he seemed pretty much easy out about where we might go!

Has anyone here ever been to either place for around 3ish months that could gimmie some info? Like certain parts of the city that do short leases? Or any part they would reccomend to go thats even more out of the way?!
