    Ok,
So ive been training for a triathlon the last 2 months now. I do about six hours a week of training. I wake up most nights covered in sweat even though most of my training is done in the morning. I can handle the training but my body doesnt seem to recover. I feel overheated most of the time. Do I need to start taking cold baths or something or is there another solution for this pain in the a.ss?

Might be nothing to do with your training. Do you eat before you go to bed? I know if I eat cheese before going to bed I wake up sweating, so this could be your problem.

Is this going on long? I had a bad cold about a week ago(gf reckoned it was swine flu) but I woke up every night wet and shivering... this went on for about 4/5 nights.

Can't see how a cold bath would help. Are you sure it's not a hydration/nutrition issue? Have you considered actually taking / monitoring your body temperature? Could be an issue for your GP.

    Hi OP,

sorry but we can't give medical advice here, as per our charter. Better to see a GP rather than relying on an internet diagnosis.
