iphone 4 on Three - weird sound problem

    hi,

    I have recently switched from O2 to Three and have a new iphone4.

    I have numerous problems, and have just had the phone replaced by Apple only to find the issues still there.. so it's either network or SIM related .

    The issues are :

    When dialing , before connection a loud garbled noise is emitted from the phone... it's weird and very .. very annoying.

    Most dialed out calls need at least two attempts to connect.

    The call divert symbol appears randomly on the phone ..

    The phone won't receive calls or texts eventhough it's in full coverage..

    Does anyone here have any experience with these problems ?

    Any help would be great

    The call divert symbol is a known bug on the phone. It doesn't have any effect.

    The rest doesn't sound very good. Have you tried getting a sim replacement?

    the call divert symbol has only happened with 3, i think its something in the carrier bundle

    The wierd high pitched noise isn't the iPhone, it happens on 3. My wife's company had Nokias, Blackberrys and iPhones and it happened on all of them at one time or another. Call divert is a pain in the hole because you can be getting calls diverted.

    I don't have one but the best thing to do is complain to 3 tell them you want it fixed immediately.

    thanks guys.. I'll try a SIM replacement next.. new iPhone isn't showing the Call Divert symbol yet..
