Servicing an automatic car.

My automatic car needs a service, and I'm looking for a recommendation for a decent mechanic, preferably with experience of automatic cars. I know there are lots of threads on car servicing, but I haven't seen one for automatics before.

Hoping somebody can help me out.

There's no difference in normal servicing. Gearboxes aren't even touched.

Ok, but actually I'd like gearbox looked at also, as it's not always changing gear as quickley as it should. So, with that pretty important piece of information added, I'll ask the question again.

Have you a mechanic that you normally use? There is no reason they wouldn't be able to do it for you! I use Mike Sheehan out in RS Auto in Clondrinagh and find him an excellent mechanic!

What sort of car is it? Beyond changing the gearbox oil and filter, and maybe some electronic update, it may not be possible to fix that.

Nissan Serena, 2001. We brought it back from Japan when we moved back here.
