HTC Desire & Hero - Replacement Batteries

    Could someone please recommend a replacement battery for the HTC desire and the HTC Hero?

    I need a new battery with better battery life.

    I doubt there's anything that offers that much of an improvement over the stock.
    Try ebay I guess?

    I'm considering getting one from dealextreme.com , cheap and free shipping.

    The original desire battery is 1400mAh capacity. So something like this should give improved battery time if they are what they say on the tin....

    1600mAh Battery with Charger for HTC Desire/G7 ($11.68)

    To really boost battery capacity you could go for something like this which comes with a new back-cover to make space for the large battery: 2600mAh - ($18.26) http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.41891

    I'm sure there's plenty of eBay too. There are cheaper ones on deal extreme for about $6 for the desire Z, but guessing the battery contacts don't match up for the original desire.

    I got a 3000mAh one for the Hero on ebay. Can't remember the seller, but it was maybe €20, came with the case too.
    Working great. Could make the battery last two days now if I wanted.
