    hi,
i recently rejoined sky and got a new sky+ box installed. i got it put in the attic as i wanted to run it to a few different tvs and and only had a single aerial cable at most tv points, i used magic eyes in the different locations and it works a treat. the problem is when i connect my RTE & TV3 aerial into the back of my sky+ box the picture for sky is poor, if i plug the aerial out its perfect again. is there something im doing wrong?
    any advise would be appreciated.

you need to retune the Sky modulator channel. It's conflicting with TV channels, which now include Digital TV.

    System Setup.

    @ Brosnadog,
You'll probably find it'll be trial & error job finding a channel that's free of interference.

As more and more of Band IV / Band V is being used, it's going to be a problem finding a spare channel to use for an RF based distribution system.

For anyone doing a 'new build' or extensive rewiring now, I guess Cat5e would be the way to go.

Best solution is adding filters to only allow the wanted channels.
    It's possible.

But setboxes are as cheap. Analogue RF distribution like this is poor quality, no HD, no Interactive and mono.

On a Sky+ HD box you can get to the menu by pressing 'Services 0 0 1 Select'.
BTW it's not advisable to put a satellite receiver especially a Sky HD box in your attic
