    Hey folks,

Going to see a recruitment agency next week and haven't been to one in years and years. Should I wear a full suit going in or is that expected do you think?

    Thanks

It's in the area of marketing, so corporate environments.

I would wear a suit for sure. I am in IT & always wear a suit to agency meetings. They can get a bit hacked off if they don't think you have made enough of an effort.

That's what I figured mate cheers. Now to see if I can get it into the dry cleaners before Tuesday or if I need to!

Yeah wear a suit of course. But remember they are not there to interview you so don't feel like you are under pressure.

They just want to make their cut by placing you in a job. I don't have any time for recruitment agencies, remember their incentives are not aligned to your interests.

They are checking if they are comfortable sending you to one of their clients.

So IMHO they are interviewing you, treat it just like any other interview with HR.

Agree that their interests are not your interests, but provided you remember that, you can do ok.

fyi, Love 'em or hate em, almost all the paid work I've had in the last two years has been thru agencies.
