I have a Wii, basically just use it for a couple of fun games (Mario Kart, Sonic & Mario at the Olympics, Sports Resort etc..).

I also have a broken 360, so until I scrape together enough funds for a new 360, the Wii is my only option.

My question is, how do other games play on the Wii? Are they any good? I'm thinking of picking up a couple of second hand games to give them a go, preferably shooters, anybody got any good recommendations?

    Thanks,

    Wedgie.

You've a few options here depending on what you like.
If you love online multiplayer then Call of Duty:Black Ops is the best on Wii.
You'd be able to pick up a cheap version of Call of Duty:Reflex (CoD4) second hand which is almost as good.

If single player is more to your liking, Goldeneye 007 is the best with any of the Metroid Prime games in close second (although there's more exploration and puzzle solving in the Metroid ones).

One thing to note though is that when you come over from shooters on the 360 to the Wii, there's a lot to get used to to get anyway good. I know a lot of lads that tried it and after mocking the graphics (as the do ) they just couldn't get used to the accuracy the wiimote affords you and the lack of any auto-aim feature. As a result, they got frustrated with the games really quick but I assure you, you'll love it if you learn the ways of the pointer! A long range sniper headshot is far more satisfying with a wiimote than with any other controller. :D

    Yeah.
I've grown to love the wiimote controls for FPS and now It feels rubbish using an xbox controller

    Thanks for the replies.

I've no interest in playing online, to be honest with you. I might go pick up one or two second hand games to give them a try, might pick up one of the Resident Evil series. Are they any good?

Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is brilliant. Its a few years old too so you'd get it pretty cheap!

Basically Wii is the console you have to pick up the gem games, or you think it's crap.
