Its a COPS marathon on CBS Reality tonight, remember that show from the 90's on Sky? Just listening to some of the excuses people give is hilarious. So got me thinking have you ever given the gardai/police an excuse to get away with something and get away?

I remember when I was around 15 I got suspended from school and rather than telling the aul pair I thought I would try catch the postman the next morning before he delivered the letter and get away with it.

Long story short we lived in a cul de sac at the bottom of a big estate, I decided to hide out behind a hedge and wait for postman only to have some neighbour ring the guards to report suspicious activity. They came and one of them wanted to put me in the car and take me home after I explained myself, I convinced them I would go home and tell my mam. They watched me walk up the road till i nearly was at the house and drove away, I legged it of course.

In the end up the letter never got sent and I got it from the principle the next day.:D
