Can't be done Saorview requires an Aerial not a Satellite and a suitable DTT receiver.

Yes but if you have a saorview tv & an existing aerial, the new system may well be live now on your tv depending on where you are.
You will find them on the tv itself though, not on the sky box.

RTÉ1/RTÉ2/TV3/TG4 on Satellite are encrypted and required a valid Irish sky subscriptions.

The only way to view them for free is with an aerial. Unless your TV is SaorView compatible, you will need another stb to view them.

I had saorview tuned in on my television. I retuned them in last week and the tv didnt pick up any channels. Is this because it is only at the trial stage???

It is a 40 inch sony bravia. It had 17 digital channels tuned in. The tv guide was working perfectly on it aswell.

Where are you located and what transmitter are you using? Mt Leinster was down yesterday I believe.

South Kildare. I think Mount Leinster is the transmitter alright. I tried 3 different aerials but no luck. Still not working. Cheers for that

Old threads shouldn't be resurrected, instead start a new one or read FAQ sticky at top of forum.
Skybox for Sky/FTA satellite from 28.2E. Saorview requires DTT Box/TV.
See FAQ from Saorview site below.
