    Hey guys,
Picked up a 2nd hand Wildfire yesterday and it says it's running 2.2.1 Build Number Openfire v2.3 - ADeadRat.

I'm totally new to Android and was looking for all stock HTC Sense stuff. Which is not installed on the phone. The main problem I have is that there is no option to transfer contacts etc from my old phone.

Can anybody help? The phone is on 3. Is there anyway I can revert back to factory settings? I've tried to reset it myself but it just clears the phone and still boots up with the Openfire software.

Looks like a custom rom has been installed on your wildfire.
    Link below.

To fix you'll need to find a stock htc rom or another custom rom for your wildfire that has stock htc stuff and/or sense.

Also note what it says in bugs.
    Bugs / Not working:
    - Video recording working (but, bad quality)
    - Cant import contacts from SIM ? no read/write acess to SIM ? (can anyone confirm or deny this?)

    Thanks for that Ste-

I suppose the chances of getting the 3 Ireland Rom is highly unlikely?

unless the seller left a nandroid backup on the flash card, you might have a bit of difficulty finding the official stock rom.

you could always just flash WWE from here

    World wide edition iirc.
It's the generic HTC stock ROM that isn't ported to a region eg Asia, nor has it got the operator specific customisations eg 3 or o2.
Edit, it also doesn't quicken typing on it.

Suppose the stock android lacks the eye candy. Though sense is too slow for me on wildfire.

Download link is working there unfortunately :(
Anybody recommend an alternative download location?

I've started to run Modaco Froyo which has HTC Sense but neither that nor Openfire has the data transfer option installed which is the main thing I'm looking for. According the HTC manual it says to click on the "arrow" button and then select "Data Transfer" but the option is not there!

Can't get my contacts etc from my old Nokia. Does anybody know how I can transfer? Is there an App or something I can use or a different Rom?

Appreciate the help lads. Total newb to Android.
