Which ATC and which AMC, there are at least 4 of them, in the US/UK/Oz etc.

Also, why do you think these companies will outperform?

    Thanks

    I'm following TSTR (AIM)

Results due on mine in Turkey where they expect Antimony and hopefully a touch of gold(usually found together).

China controls 93% of antimony market and aswell as other precious earths and are cutting export quotas again this year, price of antimony rose dramatically in last 12 months

TSTR has risen 28% today and if they find a rasonable amount of Antimony this share will hit the roof. currently trading at 1.13p.

Have a look if nothing else for doing

    Tri-Star Resources.

    GLA for 2011!

    ATH Resources ATH-L
They are a small cap Coal mine in northern England who's business has been growing year on year.
Coal is still in demand especially for power generation ( currently 25% of UK electricity is from coal).
ATH is after winning a large contract to supply French power company EDF with Coal.
They also have many fixed contracts.
Coal mining companies should also benefit from the wettest Australian summer since records began which has resulted in the price of coal rising fast.

ATH share price along with other coal miners price has not risen with other mining operations, so expect a strong correction to this in the first half of 2011

Well thats my two-pence worth anyway,
Best of luck (Remember chance favors the prepared)

One last thing, I forgot to mention that they go ex-div on Jan 12th 2011

Fixed contracts often mean you deliver your product for a fixed price, negating the benefit from rising prices. What portion of production is under fixed contract?

About 75% is under fixed contracts

Mine for 2011 is Range Resources (RRL.L - AIM)

Posted back in June or July last year here at 4.5p and 8p now.

Drilling in Georgia to commence in Feb / March this year and Puntland, Somalia sometime in Q2-2011.

Priced underpinned at ~6p by current producing assets so a great one to have.

I think that if they hit a duster their then the share price will hit the floor very very fast; I`m not trying to be a downer, in fact I bought a nice few shares in them at 6.5p so I`m quite happy so far. I`m thinking of scalping the profits soon but or at least taking some profit to cover myself.

As for Mr Cawley his silence speaks volumes!

Well that's the name of the game for Oil Exploration companies isn't it?

Thing with Range is that independent valuations put their Texas producing assets at £200 million so the current SP is somewhat underpinned and future projects like Georgia, Trinidad, ECT Texas and Puntland are 'free' for now.

    True enough,
it definitely a speculative investment, they are a busy company with big aspirations so fingers crossed.
I have stops in place at 7.2p so if it doesn't workout hopefully I can still take some profit

No harm to take profit prior to spud alright. But with news of Puntland PSA, Trindiad, COS in Georgia and Texas I reckon the SP will be closer to 12p at Georgia spud.

When you compare Range to the likes of Desire Petroleum who have nothing to fall back on yet a Market Cap of something stupid its a lot safer bet.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 657 ✭✭✭Shauny2010

Desire Petroleum is a bit of a weird one, like theres a pile of exploration companies out there and lots with a much better track record, finance etc in place, yet there seemed to be some kind of a blind frenzy following them since early last year.
there a good artical in the UK telegraph by Rowena Mason
    http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/finance/rowenamason/100009134/another-day-another-falklands-oil-duster/

This was a stock heavily traded by Irish Investors also

Ive noticed that I got stopped out of Range resources yesterday at 8p, looking today there down another 7.5%. Did I miss some news about them, I cant seem to find out why the share price has turned so quickly

Tom Bulford - who tipped Range back in June with his RHPS article put a Sell on Range on Thursday night - hence the mass exodus by his sheep.
He based this sell rating on the fact that the share had doubled from his initial buy rating and that delays to their operations in Puntland means people should sell.

What he failed to mention is that Range are about to complete a Helium Survey on their first 3 drilling targets (total for Georgia to Range is about 750mbbls OIP) and that they will mobilise a rig by the end of Jan / Start Feb and will reach TD on their first drill by April...

If I were a cynic, I would say that Tom Bulford recommended a sell so that he could hoover up some cheap shares.

Range have further de-risked their Georgia operations by announcing a farm-out of 20% of the project to Red Emperor - another Australian minnow.

It should be noted that Red Emperor plan to list on the AIM (currently only listed on ASX) in a few months time and that RRL holders will be given the oppertunity to take part in the placing / fund raising at some discount.

Personally, If I had been stopped at 8p I would be looking to buy back in - currently 7.5p to buy.

I want to buy (RRL.L) Range Resources Ltd stock, when I typed in the ticker RRL.L in my on line trading screen (AIB-Goodbody) it is coming up as
RANGE RES. ORD NPV (DI), is these both are same? little bit confused. I never brought UK stock before.

    That's them...

Eugh... I used use AIB-Goodbody and they're platform and everything about them is awful. Plust the 1% commission or min €32 per trade is not good.

Totally agree, I also found there service suffers from some serious lag

On another topic I`m thinking of selling off Some of my Ftse stock that are in profit while the Euro is Weak and then getting more CRH Stock, there currently at 14.28 which seems good value considering they have made a nice few acquisitions in the last year. CRH where trading at 15.80 less than a week ago
