Just read the above book. It really helps give an insight to the Men who served and died. Well worth the read

i got this a few weeks back. the writer doesn't seem to have a great deal of military knowledge and the first couple of chapters aren't great but the book is good and the soldiers stories are well written. as above , worth a read.

Just finished The last Tommy's. Memories of surviving soldiers from WW1, a good read, not too many left now.
