Can anyone remember them? I was on them once as a tottler, they ran half way up the steepest part of the incline to an area known as the eagles nest. It was built in the 1950s and ran until the late 60's remnants of it would probably still remain if you look about. Not much reference to on it on the net except for a Coca…

I was on them once as a tottler, they ran half way up the steepest part of the incline to an area known as the eagles nest.

It was built in the 1950s and ran until the late 60's remnants of it would probably still remain if you look about.

Not much reference to on it on the net except for a Coca Cola add of a delivery man dropping supplies to a snack shop on the upper terminal.

I remember the remanants of them as they were discontinued by the time I was a child but you could still see the machinery and most of the posts etc.

i remember them well was there a few times during holidays in bray,no way would they now have passed the safety regulations nowadays but we were happy to use the lift on many occasions back then

It was a wonderful amenity in its day and I was lucky enough to ride on it quite a few times in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It was very safe but like so much else in Bray it was allowed to fall to pieces and nobody lifted a finger.
