    Hi All,
Not sure if this is the correct forum but i have a question and perphaps someone can advise.
Is it possible for a pensioner to claim back the tax paid on last years refuse charges of €300?
He and his wife are both retired and claiming the pension with no other income coming into the household.

    Regards,

    Kieran

If no income tax was paid (likely, assuming they are only receiving a state pension), then no tax can be refunded.

    Hi Victor

    Thanks for confirmiing that.
I know for 2011 that they have applied and getting the waiver scheme by paying i think €50.

    Kind Regards,
    Kieran
