I wouldn't bother tbh. Just use the laptop on a flat surface like a table.

I've one of the Philips heat protect laptop sleeves, I reckon it's nearly worth it to save your nuts. It also doubles as a laptop cover and it's very solid to work on.

You should see are they having a sale in the Philips store, you might pick up one cheap. http://philipsshop.ie/pcpage.htm

I have a Targa netbook cooler and it does work - prolongs the life of the laptop and ensures the underside is sufficiently cooled... unless you want to shorten the life of it by having the over heating on it.... I got a 500Gb h.d (faster than the old one) and noticed the heat from it was hot... Belkin does a nice laptop cooler... the targa one I have is for the netbook :D

Yes they work, and I would recommend you invest in one. I got a cheap one and have noticed that my LT has cooled down a lot. Although I have to unplug it when I want to Skype, but then my Lt is a dinosaur :p
