    Lexus Chase

Assuming (and hoping) it goes ahead...

Any ideas on the Lexustomorrow. The COTC is worried about waterlogging so 7.30am inspection in the morning.

Pandorama is attractive but Meade has been unsatisfied with many of his horses efforts lately and may be a stable to avoid.

Cooldine is worthy favorite having looked good over a shorter trip at Fairyhouse. Will get the trip and no problem with the ground

Kempes still to prove hes top grade and also what his best trrip over fences is. Heavy ground 3m against this opposition may be too much but may be able to show something. Definitely not a write off.

Joncol jumps right all the time giving ground away all the time but seems to thrive in this ground with his size and strength. Likes the course too bbut Nolans horses maybee in the same bracket as Meades.

Notre Pere was beaten by Glencove Marina last time over too short a trip. There were stable problems last year with Dreaper and I heard him say they were looking much better this season. Could be much better than his odds suggest thoughh may want further even with heavy ground.

Glencove Marina stayed on after the last last time at Punchestown and may need the extra distance but his price is probably right despite acdting on the ground and the extra 2f. Not wriitten off though.

J'y Vole looks a very decent but unproven over the distance. Two tries at the trip have yielded a UR and a 38l defeat in this race last year. Rather look else where at the price.

Gotta look closer at the rest...

I have done Mossy Joe in the 2:00.

Missed the 13/2 opening show but 11/2 still a decent price.
He was very impressive at fairyhouse and the trainer said that he will come on at least a stone for the fairyhouse race.

As for the Lexus l will be waiting for the opening show and see how the betting goes as there is so many ifs and buts about them all.

The two English trained horses will love the ground but both have lenghty layoffs to overcome and are getting on in years.

Mossy Joe for me too. Thinking Summit Meeting each way at 25/1 is huge in the same race, might do a small bet. Haven't done a bet in ages. **** racing that isn't worth looking at.

Chicago Grey win perhaps aswell.I think a serious RSA prospect.

Chicago Grey is far more likely to pitch up in the 4 miler or the Irish National. He's far too slow for an RSA as shown against Time For Rupert last time out. Jessies Dream is the RSA horse in Gordon Elliot's yard.

Thegreatjohnbrowne will make them all go tomorrow provided Meade's are right (I'll be keeping a watchful eye on his in the first two races). Jumped superbly twice at Punchestown and now looks a transformed horse since his wind-op.

Can't have Mourad at all in the 3 mile hurdle. Not sure to get the trip in this testing ground and often finds little under pressure. Shinrock Paddy will have come on plenty for his reappearance at Naas when he conceded a mountain of weight to Son Amix. Not sure about Paul Nolan's string at the moment though.

Quito De La Roque looks a decent chance. Was 6s last night, if I could get 10/1 early this morning I'd have taken it. Thegreatjohnbrowne looks greatt prospect though and if he handles the ground will be very hard to beat. I've gone with Healys Bar. Not won in two years but now over fences and stays the trip and won in a bog. Big price considering the weather will have troubled most preparations so not taking a shorty.

Same theory applies to the Lexus. Almost ever runner has doubts and questions so a big price is the only way to go. Notre Pere has everything in his favour and if he can find some thing close to his best he will be very competitive. The yard admittadly had issues last year which are supposedly behind them this season. Cooldine would be my stab at the most likely winner but hes too short. Pandorama is my favorite horse in the race but stable form and the horses edgy start to the season gives enouugh reson to oppose. Same stable questions over Joncol and he jumps right too much for my liking. I backed Money Trix in this last year and got burned in the Hennessey so I'll leave him. Staying is the game today and Notre Pere should be there at the death with decent runs under his belt

Does anyone know can I do a reverse forecast(grade 1 Hurdle) in tommorrows big race with Hurricance fly and Solwhit and any thoughts on what it would be likely to pay?thanks.

Notre Pere hasn't run a big race in the guts of 18 months for me. I see now Chicago Grey is too slow for the RSA as another poster said,I was quite hoping the heavy ground would have helped him.

So sick of those clowns standing behind Brian Gleeson on RTE - thinking they are funny. Absolute muppets.

Didn't back Pandorama today, in fact was truly stunned at the price he started

Did back him in the Hennessy though

I see we have similar luck.
Today has further strengthened my opinion that Mikael D'haguenet will stroll home in the RSA before winning the Gold Cup next year.
