    Hey all,

I'm looking to turn my bog standard A4
    2901597_1.jpeg

Into something that looks a bit more like this (Minus the horrible alloys :))
    02-05_Audi_A4_Vizage_Body_Kit__Urethane_.jpg

I've looked around at a few sites that sell the parts but I dont know who is good/trustworthy and who isn't.

Preferably, I would like to drop the car off and get it done as apposed to getting the parts imported and then finding a separate garage willing to do the job.

Also looking to get xenon headlights and again, don't know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Why on earth would you ruin a perfectly good car?

Will it increase the performance of the car? Help fuel efficiency and save you money? IMO it doesnt make it look any better, and just screams "tool" and "childish" at me.

Is there any point to the mod at all?

    Just my €0.02

Is there any point to the mod at all?

Yes, I like the look of the latter car.
    Just my €0.02

Thanks for your €0.02, it was just the kind of information I was looking for.

This is the Modified cars section, and I agree with the OP, the second one is a cool car, it doesn't scream anything, please try keep your posts helpful.

OP, have you signed up to VAGDrivers.net yet? Tis full modded German cars, they should be able to point you in the right direction. Or try getting in touch with Limerick Man or tossy on Boards, they're two of the biggest VAG heads I can think of, LM's Golf is done to a similar style that you're looking to get the Audi to

Thanks man, appreciate it! I had a wee look at VAGdrivers.net yesterday but will create an account and throw the same question over there.

Fella at work has that same kit on his A4, cost him 4000e to get it all done and it doesnt add anything to car, he just looks like an idiot.RS4 badges, twin exhaust, 100bhp 1.9 tdii. Its just wrong imo, people that dont know anything about cars will think its fast and when they find out its a diesel they will just laugh and the people that no cars will have no respect for you at all. They will just think your too cheap to pay road tax!!

Thanks for the useful insight. Just what I was looking for (again).

I couldn't give a toss if I don't have "respect" from the street kidz. It's not like I'm looking to do the project to impress the ladeez of the night. I think it looks good and would like to change a few things around on my A4.

Also, I'm not too cheap to afford road tax on an RS4, I'm a young male driver and insurance companies frown on them having a 2.7 turbo or the newer 4.2 ltr engine.

So please, if you have nothing positive to contribute to this thread, dont post.

So please, if you have nothing positive to contribute to this thread, dont post.

Please do not try to moderate your own thread, it is against the rules, if you have a problem with a post use the report button and do not reply to it directly on thread.

Squall19 was just giving you a perspective as someone who knows someone with the kit and his opinion on the kit.

I personally think the kit looks ok but if its going to cost €4k to buy and fit then there is much better things you could do with the money, lower it, nice wheels, remap and you'll have loads of cash left then for your next car.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 11,139 Mod ✭✭✭✭Mr. Manager

Apologies, I wasn't trying to moderate. Was just fed up with useless uninformative replies. Found a price of €775 (excluding fitting) for the kit so find it hard to believe that someone else paid €4,000.

But anyways, guess I'm not going to get the help I was looking for here.

thats a bit blunt, but true.

that kit will devalue your car
    it dosnt look fantastic.
you have nobody fooled into thinking its an rs4 or the likes
they are as common as muck
dont waste your money on it, save it towards trading up to a truly better faster car

As I said above, I'm not trying to "fool" people into thinking I'm driving an RS4.
save it towards trading up to a truly better faster car

I don't want a "truly better faster car" - I'm quite happy with the drive on this one, just want to add a few things is all. Even if I wanted a "truly better faster car" my insurance would cripple me. As before, I'm a young male driver.

Going to leave this thread now as I'm getting nothing but useless replies.

    Over to VAGdrivers I go.

.....No wonder this is a dying forum

hey OP lotta people laugh at the 1.9tdis with rs4 badges so stay away from that your car so if you wanna put a body kit on it go ahead, tho i would try and keep it minimal myself, but thats just my opinion, would you consider doing something to the inside perhaps? not the outside nice media system in there, 7" monitor for playing your audio, put a lil mini computer in there with your mp3 collect somethiing youll get much more use outta im sure

I had never planned on sticking RS4 or SLine badges all over it. Just wanted to get it lowered, set of alloys and a tidy kit. Nothing too flash.

There's a built in Audi SatNav unit in mine so dont want to go installing any monitors on the inside. Although, a nice media system has crossed my mind.... on several occasions :P

na the touchscreen for touch control of the media system is what i was implying not for watching dvds on those tiny screens, it would be nice and tidy, some security features too be nice while your at it

Why? Because its not what you want to hear? As I've said if you have a problem with the replies report them.

How about posting where you found the kit and people can advise you on whether they are any good or not?

€750 seems very cheap for the kit! Are you sure thats a genuine one?

I would imagine that there's not many places left that specialise in fitting non oem body kits but a more specific forum like VAG drivers would be a better place to ask questions.

In terms of why people are saying save your money instead they are just trying to give you perspective, when I was young I spent way too much on a crappy fiesta that I wish I didn't, that's all they mean.

Do you have a point to this? Do you drive a 4.2 super charged Audi?

I'm "man" enough to take constructive criticism but it's not like I've asked for the opinion on what you think of the idea.

No, because I never asked for the opinion of other posters, not once. I merely asked where I could find info etc. Something like what Graham said would have sufficed "Go to VAGdrivers".

no, does such a thing exist? i was just letting you know that young male drivers with sense arent half as restricted in what they drive as you were trying to suggest.

well, when you posted your question/ intentions on a public forum you actually did ask for peoples opinions, its not my fault you didnt get the responses you wanted to hear

I have sense but it still doesn't mean I can afford to purchase, insure and up keep an RS4.

I fail to see where in the below post I've asked for opinions.

then dont try to replicate one. its like fake designer clothes, they look good the first time you wear them, but pretty quickly they just get washed out and rubbish.

why did you post your intentions on a public forum if you didnt want feedback? if you want to type out statements to keep to yourself then use microsoft word.

    End of.

You could always go for the limited edition border counties RS4 TDI spec A4........:D

And generally with kits the less you spend on the kit the more you will spend on a body shop trying to make it fit your car!!!!!!
