I want to get back into running soon, but last week I made bits of my ankle by tearing ligaments. So besides seeing a Phsyio, what's the best advice? Rest it for awhile and when I do get back into training soon, what would be the best plan of attack?

I was thinking of resting off until the first week of January, then starting back light with lower leg weights to strengthen around the ankle and calves. Would I be foolish though and should I wait longer?

please read the charter on medical advice. Physio will give better advice than the internet.
