IMaybe the OP was referring to this:
Brown Thomas closed due to flooding

    26.12.10

Brown Thomas has been forced to postpone the start of its winter sale at its store on Dublin's Grafton St after water pipes burst causing flooding to the three floors of the store.

It is expected that the flagship store on Grafton Street will open tomorrow morning at 9am.

All other Brown Thomas stores in Cork, Limerick and Galway will open as scheduled today at 10am.

You are in the wrong Forum, this is for Bargain Alerts. Try the regional forums.

And "FAIL smartarse"? Now now, that's not very nice.

I popped in today at lunchtime and it was complete sh*t and derision.

Usually BT put a little blue sticker on sale items, this didn't happen today and 'current-line' items ended up on sale tables with a lot of disgruntled customers being told at the till that their particular item wasn't discounted.

In terms of menswear, it wasn't worth the effort. Very poor selections of all ranges. I got the distinct impression that they are holding back a lot of sale stock to stagger sell until 31st Jan.
