Onkyo TX-SR308B Help!!!

    Hey Guys,

So I'm throwing myself at the mercy of the wise men and women of this forum. I got an Onkyo TX-SR308B for Christmas and I'm really struggling getting things going. I hope you guys can answer some of my questions.

Firstly the main issue is that I cant get my surround sound working on it. I have all the speakers hooked up correctly and everything but I don't have a powered subwoofer so I can't connect it to the amp. I dont mind not using it but is it possible for me to use the other 5 speakers without it? I can only get 3 speakers working at any given time. I've tried messing around with all the settings and read the manual a dozen times but I still cant make any progress. The problem with the sub is that the amp only has a sub power out connection and my sub only has a speaker cable connection so I can't connect the two unless someone knows of some cable???

I havn't given much info I know so if you need more just ask.

    Cheers in advance

Also just got an Onykno set up here. Note that the front left and right connect to the A speakers terminals, not the B ones at the end. They are the round ones by the way.

No reply, have you everything else set up? Note that if using SKY HD and you have it connected to the amp with optical and hdmi the amp will always look at the hdmi for its sound feed.
