Downstairs radiators not getting very hot...

    Have searched but cant find similar thread..so apologies if it's a repost..

    GFCH, downstairs rads are generally quite cold, sometimes lukewarm and often freezin...upstairs seem fine...none ever get so hot you cant touch them though..

    Someone has suggested we need the system balanced..this was done by a handyman a year or so ago but only little improvement,..

    Other options? Pump?

    have you tried bleeding them
    you can buy a radiator key at any hardwear shop or ask a neighbour

    Yep done the whole bleedin thing....no result :(

    Could be balancing yes. Turn off all the rads upstairs when you have the heating on and see if the water in the rads downstairs heat up. Good place to start.
