Probably just closed for Christmas. I haven't heard anything else from them.

    From their website.... (www.thedhotel.com)

"Christmas Closing 12pm on 23rd until 12pm on 29th Dec"

    So no need to panic!

In fairness, it does seem a little odd for such a hotel to close for a week.

Not been in the D for a while but it was nicer at the start - they had a very nice but problematic fish tank which apparently leaked and destroyed the floor in the dining area.
