Banks on Christmas Eve

Are the banks open today ?

I'd try ringing them but they don't begin to think about answering their phones until 10:00.

Do they re-open on the 29th - the day nearly everybody goes back to work ?

    Not really an economics issue.

I would suggest looking at whatever bank you have your account withs site and see what you can find.

For example here is P TSB's xmas opening times.

Don't know about today but most will be closed on the 29th.

    Thanks folks.

I've tried both AIB and BOIs sites but their branch locators are showing the normal 10-4 short hours rather than the shorter Christmas hours.

As an aisde does anyone know why they are closed on the 29th ? That's a normal working day ?
