if the bathroom is coming from the mains and you have no water there while you have it everywhere else. You may be using your buffer from the attic. Once that runs out, there's not much you can do really..

What about kitchen?? Kitchen is typically from mains.

stock up plenty of water and expect very little cooking, brushing, showering over the next few days

    happy xmas

If pipes are frozen , wrap tin foil around them and get a hair drier and heat the pipes , tin foil is key as helps spread the heat , then get something to insulate the pipes properly when you are finished and hopefully you should have no problems.

If you have no cold in the kitchen then the rising main into the house has frozen. Chances are it'll not be getting to the attic as a result. If I was you I'd be careful not to empty the tank in the attic.

Rather than start a new thread....the hot and cold taps in our downstairs bathroom aren't running and the washing machine (which is in the utility area next to this bathroom) is showing a fault (no water...). Presume the pipes feeding both are frozen (near an external wall). Rest of the taps in the house are running fine. Is this just an isolated problem specific to this feed?

if i was you, i'd check the tank in the attic and see if the water supply is feeding this, just push down on ball cock for a sec and if water comes out your in a better situation that most?
