We all give out about Irish dealers and their crap after care service versus the North/GB, spotted this on another thread so it might explain some of their attutudes, they are too busy defrauding the manufacturers with false claims for their own cars.
When I worked for MINI, I had the entire fully auto soft top and clutch replaced under warranty even though both were perfect

That car is sold long ago. Anyway that has nothing got to do with it. You must have plenty of time on you hands..

Yes, they were perfect, but wear had started to show through on the soft top as is well documented by all MINI Owners on MINI2, and on totalMINI, and if the soft top isn't replaced, it will eventually leak, so it was perfect in terms of function, but not asthethics. Which had been approved by MINI for any owner who felt their roof might eventually leak.

The clutch was also perfect in terms of function, but when releasing the pedal there was a knock, which turned out to be the centre release bearing. The clutch could have gone on for another 50k miles, but I didn't want it knocking, so again, something which could have been put up with, I changed. Again, approved by MINI for any owner who felt the noise was disconcerting. Well documented again on totalMINI and MINI2.

If you'd like to verify either statement, feel free to trawl the forum over on miniclub.ie that I run.

And well done for accusing me of 'defrauding' without actually having all the facts. Yay internet warrior!

Oh by the way, seeing as I'm around here, predominantly on this forum since 2005, don't you think I'd have a bit more cop-on than to be shouting about alledged de-frauding? Of course you didn't think. You just added 2 & 2 and got 73.1.

You could also, have PM'd me and asked me what the story was before creating the thread.

I think it's absolutely shocking that you'd post this kind of statement about another active boards poster while identifying them so clearly. It's a clear accusation and is probably defamation.

eoin's already locked the thread. I'm banning you for a week.

I will lift the ban at any time if I receive a PM from PaintDoctor saying that he's received an apology/explanation from you, and that he's happy to accept it.
