So far I got...

An original 1950's olive/forest green floor-length velvet dressing gown with amazing embroidered details. It's hard not to feel just a bit special wearing it. Very similar cut and length and to this one (also 1950s)..



A string of antique pearls exactly like this...



2 Burts Bees creams (night and day): both amazing, definitely recommend them!

First off, the lovely, completely-took-me-by-surprise package from you!!! Oh Khrystyna it was so so generous! The dress is amazing, I can't wait til spring to wear it!! And the beret is such a gorgeous colour, I added the butterfly brooch to it, they look perfect together! Even the wee postcard was so sweet, Julia Margaret Cameron.. I come across her name a lot when reading PRB stuff so it made me smile! I won't forget this!

Seems this year people are still being very generous despite the unfavourable economic climate- nice to see we can forget about the negative stuff and celebrate Christmas like normal. My makeup and beauty related gifts from my family were:

Also bought myself two new MAC eyeshadow pans for my custom 15 palette. The first is Naked Lunch

which I'm using on browbones, inner eye corners and also applying to cheekbones with angled blush brush. It's a lot lighter and more iridescent in the pan than it is in the photo. The second is Antiqued

an ochre-bronze type of colour that looks gorgeous in the crease with Naked Lunch all over the lid and dark brown like Benefit's "Fishnets" on the outer corners and lowe lashline.

When the boyfriend arrives at dinner time he'll be giving me the MAC 109 small contour brush I made him buy me- he couldn't see the point of spending thirty-something euro on a brush but I informed him it was an ultimate investment!

It's dry shampoo for brunettes and it doesn't leave the obvious white stain on your hair! I tried a bit and it's actually pretty good! Erase paste conceals and it's really thick!

Very similar in style to Naked palette which I got in October. Be a nice stop gap for anyone waiting for the Naked palette to come back in to stock without having to pay a fortune. Colours are much more shimmery and bright than they look there. That photo really doesn't do them justice.
