    Hello all,
i am hoping someone can help me here. I am looking for an external hd that has both an ethernet port and a usb connection. what i want to do is connect the hd to my ps3 using the usb while at the same time have it connected to my network. this would be very handy for transferring movies onto the hd and then watching on the ps3 without having to disconnect anything
    any help appreciated
    cheers

Sounds like your looking for a NAS. All decent online retailers will have them. I've never set one up myself but I've heard some aspects can be tricky.

    http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=300
but from what i here the usb connection on it is more of an expansion port.
Forgot to mention that i has to be formatted in fat32 as thats the only format the ps3 will understand

I don't get it, if its a NAS storage why would you need the usb then, you can access your data from the PS3 using the wireless or LAN to the NAS. Will i use myself the buffalo LS-XHL and its absolutley fantastic
