iTunes freezing when I insert my iPod

    Hey, I was getting some music off a friend yesterday and connected my ipod up to his itunes. Even though I had manually dragged them to my iPod and it wasn't set to auto-sync, all 75gb of my music was wiped. Anyway I am trying now to re-sync my ipod with my own itunes to get most of my music back but itunes just freezes when I connect up my ipod. I just have to CTR-ALT-DEL then and itunes will not open up after I do this. Anyone know what might be the problem here?

    Try doing a full reset of the iPod and restoring it to the original ex-factory state.

    Thanks but when I am unable to restore factory settings as the entire itunes freezes when I connect my ipod. Can you restore factory settings manually on the ipod?

    If iTunes is freezing it's usually an issue with iTunes or with a conflict caused by other software installed.

    Try the steps outlined here and see if it resolves anything.
