    Heard on some radio station this morning that the river Blackwater is frozen over and such an event hasn't occurred since around 1600. That's near you Corktina - can you verify that ?

    yes its true ,completly frozen over near boat house, saw some idiot walking on it today. you can see it on youtube , under frozen fermoy, i think ,or else ,frozen river blackwater.

    Indeed, fall through and it's curtains, the river is still moving under the ice !!! No harm to point up the danger !! ;)

    South Dublin lethal in parts, and quite a bit of traffic about. If you needed to go into a housing estate, you needed a shovel and the willingness to use your car mats to get going again.
