What Dvd formats can PS3 play

    Have a fat PS3 and my current dvd player does not play dvd+r. Have a few large movies I want to burn to an 8.5 dvd+r but dont want to waste buying them if they wont play

    Tried the google route but to much garbage out there

    Anyone?

    Don't know about DVD+R but it definately plays DVD-R, if that's any good

    For DVDs it'll only play those of the same region as the PS3, here's what it can play.

    PlayStation 2 DVD-ROM
    DVD-ROM
    DVD-Video
    DVD+R
    DVD+RW
    DVD-R
    DVD-RW
    AVCHD
    DSD Disc
    DualDisc
