Shame on Topaz

    Mission Statement
"We will create a “Topaz Customer Experience” which transforms the service experience for Irish consumers. Through our superior range of products and services and our innovative approach to customer service, we will exceed expectations, foster a sense of belonging and become an integral brand of choice for Irish consumers
Unfortunately your staff at Templeville Road, Templeogue have obviously no idea of this mission statement. I pulled in today at 6pm. Although it had not snowed since last night (many people were out digging ther driveways today), I found it very difficult to get onto the forecourt due to the fact that no effort whatsoever had been made to clear the snow. I did manage it and mentioned my difficulty to the girl as I paid for my €1.44 per litre petrol. She said "oh yeah, we should really have a look at that". Her colleague was busy arranging bottles of motor oil followed by arranging shelves at the household section at the back of the shop.
Three people got stuck so myself and some other customers helped push them in/out - one man on the way in gave up after we got him moving again and told us he'd never use Topaz again - I will be with him.
Not only did Topaz staff not clear ANY snow from the entrace/exit or the forecourt itself, the free staff member was nowhere to be seen when it came to helping the poor stuggling customers that Topaz was solely responsible for putting them in the difficult situation in the first place! Beggars belief.
Shame on you - I am speechless at the scant regard for customer care.

That is bad. Although I suppose the one at the till couldn't just walk out of the shop because the other person was at the back of the shop, but you'd think at least they would have at least made an effort.

The guy wasn't out back, just in the shop basically doing nothing except arranging stuff on shelves!!

Dunno how they justify 5c more per litre petrol then most places around. Wouldn't give em the time of day.

cos most people, like the OP, pay the price then complain

Well in that case, the one at the till could've said "I'm going out to help clearing the snow. Will you look after the till for me for a minute?" To lazy probably:rolleyes:

Stopped using them as soon as the company got rid of the fuel cards in favour for mileage.

Their diesel pumps are a disgrace, always covered in diesel with no gloves or blue paper to use while holding the pump ( containers always empty). Used to dread filling up as my hands would be covered in the stuff and stink of diesel all day. I used to get so embarrassed when i went to a meeting as I could smell the diesel and im sure my clients could as well!

I used to work for Esso during my college years and the pumps had to be cleaned 3 times a day ( every shift) ............. obviously not protocal in Topaz

Ye all don't seem to realise that probably a majority of Topaz stations aren't in any way shape or form operated by them, definitely a majority of Esso ones aren't etc. Its called franchising and basically every forecourt brand except Tesco and the Petrogas ones do it. The parent firm will only own a certain number of stations.

There's every chance that the station in question is a franchise and moaning about (or even to) Topaz won't achieve anything.

So! Are you going to address your complaint to the Management of that particular service station, or to TOPAZ Customer Service? Or just leave it at an anonymous internet rant?

+1 - The ones that have the Topaz forecourt but different shop are franchised. the ones that have the Topaz forecourt AND the Topaz "refill" shop are owned by Topaz. Which applies to you?

I was there recently and saw two staff members outside throwing salt / grit onto the forecourt.

I saw this and had to stick my two pennorth in - I rang around like a saddo asking how much oil i could get for 300 euros, Topaz quoted me the most litres, so i ordered from them.
When it arrived and went in the tank, it was so many litres short of what i was quoted, which i pointed out to the delivery man, who went and put the difference in the amount into the tank without a question,, makes you wonder eh?
