Big freeze advice: How often do cattle need water?

I have a shed with 14 cows & 12 cattle & 11 weanlings. I've been out of water since last Thursday. I brought in barrells with the transport box on Monday evening. They all drank their fill and didn't finish what I gave them. I've stopped feeding ration & they're eating silage.

I think every 2-3 days is ok for drawing water into them?

The only reason I ask is that I'm a part time farmer gone from 7.30 to 6.30 most days. If I was around all day it'd probably continuously drawing it into them:o
