Snow lying on velux

    after the bad weather, iv notice that there is snow on the roof of my new build, specifically bundles lying at the top of the velux. Im worried the weight of it will damage it. Have no way to clear it at the momement. Can this cause any damage!

    No it won't . The snow remaining on the velux testifies to it's reasonable insulation standard. In fact it is interesting to look at the pattern of snow melt from roofs - thermal bridges are quite evident .

    Nothing to worry about, the small amount of weight of snow we have here is no problem. If the velux was in trouble, the whole roof would be in trouble. These windows were designed in scandanavia and made in Scotland were snow is much more common.
