Paying for an acknowledgement Letter

Hi, I need to get a letter from the college saying that i'm registered for 4th year. I seem to remember a note posted on the School of Science office earlier this year saying that they now charge €10 for these letters. Can anyone confirm this? I think it's taking the piss really to start charging for these standard letters…

As far as i know you dont have to pay for your first one of the year, but if you require any after that its a tenner, which i also think is taking the piss, i cant see how they can justify chargin ten euro for a a4 sheet of paper.
