I pay 2000 euro a year for the annual ticket hey, and I never get a seat on the way home to Dundalk from Dublin(Connolly R.S).

Now can someone please tell me if they experience this carry on? ....because it's driving me mental having to stand up on the train all the way home hey!!!

It's absolutely ridiculous paying this amount of money hey!!!

Your ticket entitles you to get on a train, it doesn't entitle you to a seat, same way as a bus ticket does.

Do you not get a seat after Donabate or Rush and Lusk? And think of all those people getting on in the morning while you relax in a seat and they are forced to stand.

Why not get a DART to Pearse and position yourself to be one of the first on. Alternatively get a train which originates in Bray and get on in GCD or Lansdowne Road (aka Aviva station).

I'm paying over the odd's for a ridiculous service, with an hour and a half journey. So it's just ridiculous hey!!!

I know how you feel but in fairness we're the first station in the morning,up earlier, pay more money, get a poorer service

Paddy_Smith seems to find many things objectionable in many different threads. I wouldn't encourage him.

    I'm entitled to my opinion.

I know having a seat isn't much fun either Sean. The seats on the 2600 and 29ks are extremely uncomfortable on my run from Donabate so a trip to Dundalk must be awful.

I'm just trying to get the lad to count his blessings.

Well I'm one of the eejits who walks to Pearse in the evening only to be pushed through the door so I normally do get a seat! I appreciate your concern though!

Thanks. I'll have a look into it. :)

hi paddy can't see ya getting much sympathy.
I'm sure 99% of the time by you reach skerries there is a seat available so this would leave you standing for 18 miles out of the 109 you travel daily would hardly call that very harsh now,
you say you pay 2000 I would say this is not overpriced when you break it down your making 10 trips a week even if it's only 45 weeks of the year this equates to 4:40 a trip(maybe cheaper when you consider tax relief on your ticket)
