A couple of months ago I set up an eBay account to make some extra money. I listed a few items and eerything went fine, then paypal decided to "hold" the money (couple of hundred euros) until I provided a tracking number, since the buyers only paid for standard post I would lose out to upgrade every package to registered post so I just refunded everyone and apologized.

Friday my credit card was card almost €50 by eBay for "sellers fees", surely if I never received money for the items and no sale actually happened they can't charge me these fees?!

Will my credit card company (ulster bank/visa) let me file a chargeback or am I screwed?

A bizarre tale! Whatever claim you may have regarding final sale fees, you owe eBay for the listing fees. I should imagine that you haven't a hope of recovering anything as the problems were all down to you. Sorry. :)

There was no listing fees. I entered everything at 0.99 therefore it was free to list, they are just "final sale" fees (I think that's what it's called)

If it is only Final Sale fees (cant remember the exact term) you can request that the buyers agree to cancel the transactions and then you will be refunded your fees.

You should have done this before refunding the buyers imo.

Yes that's the only fees there were as it was free to list the items. Is it too late to request that now? The transactions would have been about 3 months ago

Auctions go dead after 90 days, so it's probably too late to do anything. Even if you can, the buyers may not respond after such time.
