Still around (although a shadow of their former selves, IMO - I preferred when they were rockier).

Brendan has just released a solo album.

The problem with them was that they were a RADIO band.

why would getting on the radio be a bad thing?

Maybe you mean they were a singles band?

No I mean 'radio band'. Their songs were average but the production was terrible. Really bland sound.

    Still going strong this lot!

Don't agree that they're a shadow of their former selves incidentally. They've definitely changed into a more acoustic-rock/pop style but they're still superb.

Their current show is a two-man set-up and is a great two and half hours+. Declan Murphy is a compelling guitarist to watch and few Irish bands have such a mastery of melody as the two lads.

Current album Sugar Island is really good too -

Wahington Down is still one of my favourite ever songs. Saw them in Wexford before Xmas and they were really good.

Was that the show in the Spiegeltent? Saw a little of it on Facebook - atmosphere seemed to be really great!

Ha - I saw Nick Kelly do a show of sorts at the Galway Fringe Festival last year - he played a few songs too including Arclight (obviously and the wonderful Droning Maud Land.

Brilliant, one of my favourite ever song writers. And a great voice too. World Exploding Touch and Drunkard Logic are great songs also.

I love the 4 of Us as a full band but have no interest whatsoever in the acoustic duo thing
