    Hi everyone,

I have a quick question I hope somebody can help me with. I have been taxed a few times during the year which I am sure I am entitled to claim back. I have left that job now.
Do I need my p45 to claim this tax back? Because I have been trying for months to get this from my past employer and still haven't got it!

Someone mentioned its important to get this sorted before the end of the year, is this true? Or can I claim it back into the new year as I don't have much time left of this year!

Also how is it that I go about claiming this back?

Many thanks for any advice :)

Ring them in jan and see if you can get ur P45 if they have not issued one call the revenue. 1890 333 425

Ask the revenue to issue you a P21 Balancing Statement for 2010. Now this may not be available till after the 15th of Feb as employer have up to that date to submitt earning for each employee in to the revenue.

By and chance have you a full medical card for 2010 and have you been paying the income levy on your income if you have u are entitiled to get a full refund on the income levy.

Hope this is a little help to you.

Just a follow up on this as I am looking at my p21 now and I don't see anything about the income levy on it, is this correct? It basically looks like I am not owed, nor do I owe anything, however I definitely paid the income levy a few times last year when I think I would have been due this back?
