advice on a vacent house for 5 days

Hi house will be empty for 5 days over the next week , was wondering if its ok for me to turn water off to house under sink in the kitchen , and then drain the tank ?? . I don't want to come back to burst pipes etc or what other solutions are there ? Thanks
