    Hi all.

Just wondering how long it usually takes to notice the improvements after starting the GF diet? I know it will surely depend on the person but should I expect to have to wait at least a couple of weeks before I see an improvement in my symptoms?

    Thanks.

I found within two weeks i was a different person. But be strict and I'd recommmend Threelac (bodynutrition website is cheapest place I've found it) and a liver tonic too.

What is this? Why are you taking it?

For me it was noticeable within two or three days. why are you wondering if that's not too nosey a question?

Because I've started the diet, not noticed too much of an improvement.

It might be a good idea to share what you eat with people here, just in case there's something you are missing. Gluten is hidden in lots more foods than you may think.

Stick with the diet though, you will see resullts soon. How long are you on it now?

7 days now, still a bit constipated, still have blue hands. I'm eating a lot of gluten free bread, I might try quitting bread all together, I don't have a good feeling about bread full stop.

am not a diagnosed coeliac but have similar symptoms. for me it takes 5-7 days to get my digestion back to normal. other problems could take longer I'd say

edit: in my opinion cutting out the gluten-free bread temporarily, and minimizing it permanantly, is an excellent idea. hope it works for you!

The Threelac helps kill the candida, the liver tonic helps get your whole system going again.

For the first few weeks if i was you I'd advise avoiding all starch. you need to kill the yeast in your system and gluten free bread is just latching on to old stuff. Find alternatives

    Bacon and eggs for breakfast
    Lunch
Salad with eggs, leftover meats, tomatos, ground up seeds (get them in the discounters), some lemon juice, beetroot - make sure there's no malt vinegar used. I found Proscuitto great at the start.
    OR
Cully & sully soups - all their soups are gluten free - some of their meals aren't

    Dinner
Cooked chicken with sweet potato wedges (after you get over the starch)
Thai curry - Thai Gold a good range, nearly everything gluten free. Use veg to bulk it up instead of rice.
